With Jed Feuer on trumpet/flügelhorn, Stephanie Louise Long on soprano & alto
saxes, flute and piccolo, David Ostrem on double bass, Rob Kelly on drums,
and Craig Swanson at the piano, BIPOLAR is the newest, most unusual jazz
quintet on the scene today.

BIPOLAR uses the 18th and 19th, not just the 20th and 21st century for
many of its tunes creating unexpected and exciting results.
Feuer's arrangements are complex and unpredictable, powerfully stating their
case, then leaving a wide birth for the players.

Pieces such as:
Faure's Pavane, op. 50,
Bach's B minor prelude (from book one of the Well-Tempered Klavier),
Debussy’s Passepied from his Suite Bergamasque,
Ravel's Pavane for a Dead Princess,
Beethoven’s Op. 109,
Prokofiev’s Field Of The Dead (from Alexander Nevsky)
are staples of its repertoire.

Classic jazz tunes, such as Tune Up, Line For Lyons, A Blizzard of Lies, Pent Up House, Bluesette, as well as innovative songs such as Mother Nature's Son, Just The Two of Us, And I Love Her, I'll Take Romance, Julia, I Remember You, Craig
Swanson’s Closed (due to fire) and many others (including a few of Feuer’s
own compositions) make up the rest.
