EATING RAOUL SYNOPSIS

Time: Early 1970s
Place: Los Angeles

Lack of funds is keeping mild-mannered, chaste couple, Mary & Paul Bland (she, a tall, ravishing, curvaceous nutritionist, he, a portly, bald, fastidious wine connoisseur) from their dream of owning and operating an upscale restaurant out in the country.

Unhappily, they live in an L.A. apartment building teeming with swingers. When one of these amorous neighbors accosts Mary, Paul defends her honor by clocking the pervert over the head with a skillet and killing him.

My God, what will they do?! They should call the police, right? After all it was self-defense.

Wait!

Sensing a golden opportunity, Mary & Paul come up with a brainy plan: they’ll advertise themselves as an S & M duo, then (with the skillet) bop over the head whoever shows up for their services then take their money.

Within a matter of days, Mary & Paul are earning cold hard cash to finance their dream while ridding the world of "sleazy swingers."

When Raoul, the lascivious Latin superintendent of their building, stumbles onto the Bland’s profitable operation, he wants a piece of the action. He also wants a piece of Mary.

Partly due to Mary’s ambivalence and much due to the fact that Raoul threatens to go to the police, Mary and an extremely reluctant Paul, allow Raoul to share in their profits.

Eventually, Mary can no longer resist Raoul's seductive charms and the first sexual encounter of her life begins. She now faces her greatest dilemma ever. Raoul becomes obsessed with her and threatens to get rid of Paul.

What will Mary do? In spite of her knowing better, the torrid affair continues.

Paul, realizing what’s happening, buys a toupee.

Time marches on until Mary & Paul finally save enough to purchase their dream.

The Mary/Raoul/Paul triangle is coming to a head.

What WILL Mary DO?

When James, the real estate broker, arrives at the Bland’s for dinner (and to close the deal on the restaurant), he’s served what he’s told is a rare Mexican dish which he finds to be very tasty indeed. He compliments Mary’s culinary expertise. She responds with, “Yes, it’s amazing what you can do with a cheap piece of meat if you know how to treat it.”

The End
